Concert Highlight: Saturday!

Highlighting the versatility of saxophones with music from Baroque to jazz, the Kenari Quartet sparkles in Bach’s Italian Concerto, and turns soulful and poignantly harmonious in Joel Love’s In Memoriam. Kenari’s tenor saxophonist Corey Dundee uses quick changes in mood that mimic interlocking cogwheels in his composition Shifting Gears. Alfred Desenclos’s energetic and expressive work was composed in France, the birthplace of the saxophone quartet.
