Letters, Love, and Music: Joy, tragedy, jealousy, despair, love; all these and more will be brought to life from readings of Beethoven’s correspondence, each paired with an excerpt of music either directly connected to the letters, or composed around the same time.

Saturday, February 4, 2017: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.Circle Cinema Lobby, 10 S. Lewis Ave. Students from the Tulsa Girls Art School will paint in the lobby of Circle Cinema, while the quartet performs a variety of Beethoven works.

Beethoven’s Life in Music: The Quartet will discuss the almost Shakespearean tragic arc of Beethoven’s musical development, and how it mirrors his life, by playing string quartet movements taken from each period.
